Hanford Tank Waste Operations & Closure (H2C), the prime contractor for Tank Operations Contract, delivers exceptional performance in safely removing, treating, and disposing of tank waste. H2C leads the nation’s largest and most complex radioactive waste cleanup, including closure of the legacy waste tanks at Hanford containing 56 million gallons of radioactive and chemical waste. The Senior Contracts Counsel provides a variety of legal services to H2C management and staff. Such services include performing research, drafting legal opinions, providing legal advice and counsel, directing the activities of outside counsel in litigation and other matters, participating in trial work both individually and as support to outside counsel, and carrying out the legal processes necessary to affect the rights, privileges, and obligations of the company. Additional responsibilities include preparing and reviewing legal and technical documents, and representing the company in negotiations, general company corporate matters, and litigation.
